1. PRIVACY POLICY STATEMENT
Bat Parrot Marketing (BPM) takes the privacy and security of our customer information seriously, and we are committed to safeguarding your privacy online.

BPM is bound by the Spam Act 2004 and the National Privacy Principles (NPP) set out in the Privacy Act 1998 (Commonwealth) (the "Act"). BPM will only collect, use or disclose personal information about you in accordance with the Act. 2. PERSONAL INFORMATION
"Personal information" means the information or an opinion (including information or an opinion forming part of a database), whether true or not, and whether recorded in a material form or not, about a person whose identity is apparent, or can be reasonably ascertained, from the information or opinion.

3. INFORMATION GATHERING

IP ADDRESS
BPM may gather your IP address to help diagnose problems with our service, and to gather broad user information (for example, which website you are downloading the software from). Such user information is gathered in aggregate only and cannot be traced to an individual user.

INFORMATION SUBMITTED IN REGISTRATION AND PREFERENCES
BPM requires you to register in order to download the software, and this information is stored securely. BPM aims to improve the service we offer. As a result BPM or associated corporate partners may canvass BPM customers using surveys, competitions or promotions. Participation is voluntary via the 'opt-in' box on the registration screen, and you will only be contacted in accordance with the law, and subject to our strict privacy and contact standards.

RECOMMEND-A-FRIEND
Once the E-BIRD E-DIARY® software has successfully downloaded, we will offer a 'Recommend-a-Friend' service. This is a free referral service, designed to make it easy for customers to recommend our service to a friend. It is a two-step process, and is completely voluntary, First, you enter in the name and email address of a friend(s). Secondly, we email the friend(s) inviting them to download the software. In recommending a friend, you consent to disclosing your details in communication with the recommended friend(s). When we contact a customer's friend(s), we always advise them of the name and email address of the customer who made the referral. Until your friend has registered, we will not use your friend's details for any purpose.

4. CONSENT
By choosing to 'opt-in' to receive exclusive promotions on the registration screen, you agree to be contacted by BPM, or associated corporate partners, subject to our strict privacy and contact standards.

BPM's strict contact standards ensure only that relevant information is communicated to our customers, on an infrequent basis, that we think may be of specific interest to you (eg: special offers from your favourite team or sport).

5. DISCLOSURE OF INFORMATION TO THIRD PARTIES
BPM recognises that some of the information you supply may be personal information. BPM will not disclose your personal information to a third party except as described in this privacy statement or where this is otherwise consistent with the law.

6. DESTRUCTION OF YOUR INFORMATION
We will take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify any personal information about you which we hold, when it is no longer needed by us.

7. ACCESS AND UPDATING
BPM recognises that you may want to update your personal information. BPM will provide you with access to that information in accordance with the Act. If you wish to access or update your information, please email info@batparrot.com.

BPM will take reasonable steps to protect personal information we collect from you from misuse, loss or unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.

	TERMS AND CONDITIONS (Prize Promotion) 1. We may offer a free prize promotion to E-BIRD E-DIARY® customers, and the specific terms and conditions of any such promotion will be clearly outlined in the Privacy statement of that particular software. 2. Information on how to enter a particular promotion and the prizes form part of the Conditions of Entry. Entry into a particular promotion is deemed to be an acceptance of the Conditions of Entry. 3. Employees (and their immediate families) of the Promoter, or agencies or companies associated with a particular promotion, are ineligible to win that promotion. 4. For a chance to win, simply tick the 'opt-in' box to receive exclusive promotions on the registration screen and download the particular E-BIRD E-DIARY® software. 5. All entries received prior to the close of the promotion will be securely stored by BPM. The commencement date and the closing date of a particular promotion will be stated in the Privacy statement of that particular software. 6. The prize of a promotion will be outlined in the Privacy statement of that particular software. The promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in the value of the prize after the commencement date. Prizes cannot be transferred, exchanged or redeemed for cash. Where the prize is unavailable, the promoter retains the right to substitute the prize with a prize of equal or greater value. 7. Prize winners will be notified by email and / or phone where possible. 8. The promoter's decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into. 9. The promoter and its associated agencies or companies accept no responsibility for lost, late, stolen, damaged or misdirected entries. 10. If for any reason a promotion is not capable of running as planned, the promoter reserves the right in its discretion to modify the terms of the promotion including the prize and the Conditions of Entry. 11. All claims and entries become the property of the promoter. 12. By entering a promotion, each entrant consents to the promoter using the entrant's personal information to administer the promotion and announce the winner, and to third parties as required by law. The winner also consents to the promoter using their names and photographs for publicity purposes. The promoter is bound by the National Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1998 (Commonwealth). 13.
